Masters of Domestic Animal Art 2024, International Art Competition

Deadline for Entries: April 20, 2024

Art above is by Diaz, Doering, and Kamerer

Submit your art and photography of domestic animals. Pets, horses, farm animals, rescues, urban, rural, and everything else! 2D and 3D artwork and photography desired.

For this exhibition, submit your best animal art and photography that shows representations of domestic animals in all walks of life (including pets with fins, for example, instead of legs) and all art styles.

There are three artists in our representational image for this Call for Art because we really do love to see a variety of art styles and forms of expression. We look forward to seeing your best whether it's abstract, portraiture, magical realism, or any other genre.

All entries must be the original artwork of the submitting artist. Artwork must not have been accepted to one of our previous shows.

Quick note: We replaced "Special Merit Awards" with "Finalists" to more accurately describe the caliber of artwork in that category. We are repeatedly floored by the quality of entries received and wish to honor our artists appropriately.

We are looking for 2D and 3D artwork and photography that falls into a variety of art style and genre categories: Abstraction, Portraiture, Surrealism, Realism, Pop Art, Expressionism, Assemblage, and more!

This call for art is open to all international artists age 18 or over and working in any medium (except video and sound art). A wide range of genres and styles is desired. Our mission is to promote wildlife and animal art in both non-traditional and traditional forms. We exist to honor, promote, and uplift it.

As always, art may include more than just animals and insects. Feel free to incorporate humans, objects, landscapes, shapes, space, or anything else. The work just needs to fit the theme.

Be as literal or as creative with the theme as you like. Originality is one of the components we use to score entries.

Be as accurate as you can with the category. Our lead judge will adjust a category as needed at time of judging. Category selection helps the judges quickly identify what they are looking at and assess a work appropriately.
